Flossing

Are you and your child flossing properly? Some tips: Use approximately 18" of floss. Wind the ends of the floss around the middle fingers of each hand. Leave approximately 3" free, grasping it with your thumb and forefingers. Use a very gentle swing motion to insert the floss between your teeth. Curve it into a C shape around each tooth and gently work it up and down several times. You should be able to hear a "squeaky clean" sound. Repeat this on every tooth starting on the upper right and ending on the lower left. You don't have to floss all of your teeth - only the ones you want to keep!
